Thank you for your interest in Barrett Hay Saturday School.
Barrett Hay is an exciting place to be. It is a Saturday School where pupils are taught to think by teachers who inspire them.
We aim to create an environment that develops an independent work ethic and encourages all pupils to acquire a love of learning. The school has a justified reputation for academic excellence.
Our unique tutoring system provides pupils with individual pastoral care which promotes their independence while offering support and guidance, and which informs and involves parents.
We have high expectations of our pupils, in terms of their academic commitment and attainment, and their personal qualities of respect, tolerance, kindness and common sense.
We aim to offer an academic challenge that enables each pupil to realise one’s potential. Boys and girls achieve excellent results in 7+, 10+, 11+ and 13+ Entrance Examinations for their chosen school.
Our pupils are bright, interesting and full of enthusiasm. They are challenged academically but our approach is definitely ‘not one size fits all’.
Throughout a pupil’s time at Barrett Hay, we aim to work in partnership with parents and schools to ensure careful management of each stage of a child’s development. Open and friendly communication is encouraged from the outset. Teaching staffs are available for an informal consultation on most Saturdays, whilst formal feedback on progress takes place through parents’ meeting. We aim to know each child as an individual so that they achieve their potential and leave Barrett Hay confident in the ability to progress and flourish at their next school.
